Ancient romans in texas?

its well known that there are ocean currents that bring shipwreck debris ashore at modern day padre island * in texas --via charting debris flotsam drift pattern's from modern container ships that lose cargo at sea --they know the oceans "in sea" currents drag stuff there --its highly possible that storm crippled ocean going vessels of long ago were dragged to texas --and any survivors came ashore with the vessels -- but they did not know where they were or how to return homeward --so they stayed and interbred with the locals

I do not find that overly hard to believe

now as far as which cultures came and when and where , thats open to debate .

columbus was very clearly not the first european or "non" local to arrive here , in columbus's own record when he landed at the first place he stopped at the locals told him of other "earlier" visitors that they traded with -- columbus traded goods with them for some of the items that the "others" made traded (one item was a bronze / copper type spear point --- columbus turned it over to the royals for "inspection" upon his return -- supposedly --it was from africa they figgered out by the metal and design)--columbus was just the first to return and report his "findings" in europe .

.....According to the editorial that I read in an old Treasure Magazine ...it was at least 30 years old....was that the reason that Roman coins show up from time to time in America is that in the past they were so common that a lot of ships used the coins as ballast (in bags )...once the ships got to the New World and were heavily loaded with new goods from the New World for transport back to Europe the Coin Ballast was dumped overboard or was traded to the Indians........Joe

That makes sense up to the point it says
"or was traded to the Indians"
My Belief is the Indians back then had no use
for coins.
But the rest is possable I Guess

copper / bronze coins can be melted down and made into copper / bronze tools --and that the indains had much want and need of. --as well as being used as "adornment" items
