Hello Treasure Net!
It's been a while since my last post. I have been metal detecting lately, but haven't found anything "Treasure Net" worthy
... Until tonight that is!
Down the street from where I live, there was a house that was built in the early 1900's. A few months ago, the house was burned down (on purpose) as a firefighter training practice. Now, Habitat for Humanity is building a house for a couple who couldn't buy one on the same site as the original house. I know the guy who is in charge of the build and have been helping him on Saturdays. (I worked a little bit with him on another house not too far from this one.) Turns out, he is into the same thing! He has found many things while working on other homes, including an "eyeball" find... A dropped three ringer! (Also he found an 1883 Indian head in his pocket change the other day!) Getting full permission was no problem and he asked to come over when we were done to show him my metal detector!
Since I started hunting there, I have found the following:
No date Wheat penny
World War II Tank Battalion Pin
Trailer to a "Large Moving Lines" truck (Tootsie, hubbley
)
One really cool marble
One ponds milkglass botle
Tonight I hunted for about 30 min. Found ALOT of trash and only one coin... that made the whole hunt worth it! When I first found it, I thought it was a shotgun shell... until I started cleaning it and started seeing the outline of a head, and stars! It was my first V Nickel!
The date is very hard to see, but I can make out 1893!!!
The reverse is "shot", literally, looks like with a BB gun!
The V can sort of be seen when held in the light... but I'll take it! Enjoy the pics! HH and God Bless!

*UPDATE*
Today I went hunting over there again and found the following:
5 Wheat pennies
1 overall suspender clasp
Part of an old pocket watch
HH and God Bless!
