This button came from an old homesite in Talbot county, Ga. in 1989. Is it Marine? The back is too corroded to get a backmark from.

Yes, does look like a Civil War Marines button. Maybe someone can match it up.

Bill, Is that the description of the button you have pictured? If so, mine is a little different. Yours seems to be taller wher mine is almost flat.

Yes, that is the discription of the button i have pictured. I see some differences in them now after looking. Bill
