Hunted my new colonial beach spot again today. Found lots of lead, some horse tack, a few early buckles and I think another William III copper. Also found cob #3 from here and with a lot of meat still on the bone too for once:headbang: Based on the E assayer mark and the other finds from this site, I would say this is a Potosi 1 real from the late 17th century that was cut to half real size. Also found the out of place 1917 Walker. Ill gladly take it as it is only my third silver half ever

Crazy detail on that clipped cob. A reale beauty cut or not. Wish I had the time to do what youre doin. Someday maybe.

Water hunting is hard work. Im sore all over from this weekend but this site has been well worth it and I hope there is more. This cob was in the clay bottom while the other two were further up in the rocks/sand. Help preserve it a bit id say

You are slaying it at your new water spot. What a great spot. I feel like there is a lot more to come from there!

I havent gone past thigh deep water as the deeper you go the harder it gets to recover targets plus there is a lot of iron even on the beach where I havent tried my deus yet. I hope there is more too. Ill bet there is a bunch up in the farm field right behind the beach. Its full of oyster shell but Ill have to work on tracking down the owner

That sounds like a freaking monster site. Perhaps your best before its all said and done. You're onto something special my man. I smell a MASS. silver coming on. I did some water hunting some 20 years ago with a surfmaster but only got buttons. It is hard work and now I'm twice as old. lol

Well, I have to say that I have found hundreds of cobs here in Arkansas...okay, maybe everyone one of them has been a corn cob. So, I guess like many out this way, pretty jealous of you finding so many of them (one would be many for me.) Actually, congrats for the hard earned prizes and I know that they were hard earned. Grin from ear to ear I bet!
