Another Colonial Shoe Buckle And A Couple Of What The . . . ?!

Very short hunt at my colonial site yielded another colonial shoe buckle. Well, part of one anyway. Then these two odd items. They look kinda like spoons, but appear to be made of pot metal. Any ideas?

Yeah, they are big honkers, aren't they? I have a few other pieces in the trunk of my car - didn't know what they were, but held onto them. When in doubt, keep! Though my wife doesn't like the growing pile. ;-)

Thanks for the encouragement Steve. I'm going to. Though the finds are few and far between, I believe there's still some additional history that can be coaxed from that ground. I'm going to return soon with my T2SE and the small, 5" coil. That should help me separate better, though the AT PRO with the small coil has done a decent job so far. I've pulled some nice pewter buttons out of there, but I'd LOVE to get a Rev. War button - that would be a dream come true. One interesting thing about this site - though it's a large area (couple 100 acres), surrounding a very bold spring, all of the good stuff so far has come from an area that measures about 30 feet by 30 feet.
