ANOTHER DAY OF DETECTION

This was one of the least pleasant moments. Finding this

The rattler is not too happy with you trespassing on his ground! He takes a pretty good picture though!

I know. That's why, after taking the picture, I moved to a different spot.😅

Looks like he was thoroughly pissed that you were trespassing on
his turf.....you made the right choice!

Nice finds.....the desert has so many goodies hidden....

I think it was one of my best decisions 🤣, but around here it's really common to come across rattlesnakes. But this is the first time I've seen an angry one.

Wow I’m glad you spotted that rattlesnake!!!!
I was nervous when a copperhead snake crawled by me when I was sitting on the rocks at the reservoir fishing but seeing that big rattlesnake would scare the sh&) out of me.
Great post and thanks again for sharing with us!!!!

An outstanding picture of that snake and its surroundings!
Is the cartridge a .45-70?

[E-Trac-Ohio]

A very nice bunch of finds - congrats !

[oldmxrat]

That was a good hunt, congrats!

[sibbley]

Awesome photo of the snake! I wonder what treasure he was protecting?

[pepperj]

The metal of the relic sure stays in great condition.
Good choice on moving to a different spot, it looks a tad upset.

[Speedglass]

I can't decide what's cooler, the snake or the finds! Either way, Congratulations on an interesting hunt!

I thought we had it bad back East with ticks...your scaly friend would scare the crap out of me. I think I would have high-tailed it out of there, never to return. Congrats on every one of your finds. You earned them!

The cartridges are unmarked; I don't know what caliber they are.
