Another short hunt ends silver coin slump...

[DFX-SE Gregg]

hit a 45-d Merc at 5.5 today vdi reading on the dfx was>81. Hunted very slowly actually was hopeful that I would find a wheatie or two...After 2 hours and only 32 coins...I crawled under the bleachers and picked up another 26 coins in 1/2 an hour...most surface or just below...nice to be back in the dirt again after a downpour...woodchips are ok..but I like to play in the dirt!

Nice Merc, Gregg. Your goal is getting closer. I hit my 5000 today. Congrats on all the finds, and nice job under the bleechers. The ones I've looked undr haven't produced much. I think it is because that is one of the first places others hit around here. Congrat, and way to go Bud!

That Merc looks wonderful in front of the clad; welcome back to the silver club (or should I say "wilver?")

Thanks...I have heard a lot for not finding any lately...or should I say hardly at all!

Congrats Gregg....I am happy to see you adding to your silver total....Well deserved.

Thanks everyone for the support...I am really beat...i want to hunt one more day...>>>tomorrow and take a few off....Sore, tired, and still a long way to go!

I can not imagine hunting as many times a week as you do digging all of those holes...I hunted like 13 hours each day this weekend and only dug like 100-150 holes...And I am so sore I can barley walk. God bless ya for being in better shape than I....On a side note...You can use your clad for a massage when you hit 10000. With the amount of hunting your doing you may need it!!!

I went to the same park this morning...went under other bleacher near end of hunt only a few coins...but we had another major storm and the ground was soft as mush! So I had a heavy pouch...you will be seeing the manilla folder today!

Hey and great work passing 5000...I have been going out daily now been nuts...so after today 2-3 days off...been a crazy run!

Well I am starting to feel the aches/pains...but oddly enough since I increased my hunting my arms seem to want to keep going...my knees for the first time all year are beginning to be a problem...I had a big day today...will post later...thanks!

Somehow yesterday's post to this didn't go through.........better late than never.........CONGRATS Gregg! When you're cladding like you clad, it's only a question of time before a silver goodie appears. That merc stands out nice and frosty in front of that rusty 'ol clad!
