Got out for a couple hours to the site I have been working lately. Targets are getting few and far between in the field that had the main concentration, and some other areas are unhuntable now due to high grass. Only got three buttons this time, but I did manage to pull a nice 1782 one real and a toasted copper. Looks like it was a Connecticut - I can see the "ET LIB" on the back, but I guess it could have been a Vermont.

I have a bit of a silver streak going at this site - this is the fifth consecutive time I have found at least one silver coin. So far I have now found (1) two reale, (2) one reals, (2) half reals, and an 1803 Draped Bust dime. I have also found 14 coppers.

Nice stuff Steve, buttons, spanish, and coppers are a welcome sight at a beaten up field :headbang:

You must be getting close to a full date set of Spanish Silvers! Pretty soon you will have to count them in # of pounds not # of coins!

Steve, you could open a coin store with just your recent finds. Hope the roll continues for you. HH, Quindy.

Always nice finds. On the silver train. Good luck.

Nice one, i found two silver coins 1801 and 1775.

Nice finds, way to go on the Spanish Silver!

Reale-lly sweet finds!!! This weekend I got skunked, just one fattie.

That's been some site Steve.
And the ratio of old Silver to coppers (1 for 3) is something I don't think happens very often, it sure hasn't happened to me.

Congrats on the latest (good condition) Spanish.

Congratulations! You have a rare and lucrative site. Hope it yields to you for many seasons.

Those are great early finds of American History! Great thing you found them than to have them rot away for no one to ever see again!

Congrats on the latest (good condition) Spanish.

Rick, it has been a very good copper to silver ratio for me so far - 2.33 coppers for every silver. If I factor in the 8 coins my friend has found here, it is exactly 3:1.

I hoping for a cob one day but that would tick the box - good condition:headbang:

Wayda stay hot Steve! I told you it wouldn't take that long to get your 2nd 50, and you're obviously well on your way.
