Got out for a couple hours to the site I have been working lately. Targets are getting few and far between in the field that had the main concentration, and some other areas are unhuntable now due to high grass. Only got three buttons this time, but I did manage to pull a nice 1782 one real and a toasted copper. Looks like it was a Connecticut - I can see the "ET LIB" on the back, but I guess it could have been a Vermont.

I have a bit of a silver streak going at this site - this is the fifth consecutive time I have found at least one silver coin. So far I have now found (1) two reale, (2) one reals, (2) half reals, and an 1803 Draped Bust dime. I have also found 14 coppers.

That's real a real nice coin , makes you kind of keep going out no matter what the weather is doing

You are having a sick year, Steve. Western PA has the Colonial goods to satisfy its diggers. I would go back to that field until it is bone dry. When the farmer plows, go back and get the rest.

I have hundreds of Reale ... but not as nice as yours.

That's surprising HISPAN, I quite a few nicer than this one.

Steve, that site sure has been a winner for you. Now about that silver to copper ratio, looks like that Virginia influence is alive and well, since as discussed several times before, the rest of the NE is closer to 10 copper to every 1 silver (pre CW coinage).
