Any help is appreciated..... How to test the functionality of a GBPRo

Just bought a Gold Bug Pro metal detector on ebay. Waiting for the seller to ship it. I need to do a full system functionality test on it so I know whether it needs to be returned or not. Anyone have any advice on how to do so? Any help is greatly appreciated. Many Thanks

When you get it, read the manual so you'll know what each button and knob does. Then try them all to see if they do what they are supposed to do.

Get a tiny gold nugget from a gem and mineral shop for testing.

1- set the ground balance
2- check area to make sure there are no targets there.
3- Place object you are looking for on ground.
4- swing coil back and forth over object at different heights to see where it sounds off.
That will tell you if it works. You will learn more as you get use to it.
