I found this in an area where tons of excavated dirt has been dumped. I'm just wondering if it's possible to put a date range on it, just to give me some idea what else might be lurking in the piles.

That is called a "rib and scallop" pattern, dating to the early-mid 1800's

Thanks Creskol, that ties in fairly well with the other finds so far which have mostly dated from the 1850s to 80's. I really wish I could track down where all this dirt is coming from.
