Does anyone else burry caches? I just buried my 4th :) I think it would be cool for me or my kids (if I have any) to come back and dig them up in 20-30 years or maybe somebody will dig them up 100+ years from now! I hope to find an old cache someday and if nobody buries caches now what will the treasure hunters do in a hundred years? I don't really burry anything super valuable now but it will probably be worth a decent amount in the future. Anyone else burry caches?

not me
if I did
I would liter the top with iron to make it interesting
you would have to get that out of the way first or have a detector that see's threw iron

Lol the one I buried today has a rock,a bunch of sticks and two shovel heads over it, then there is a note in a bottle saying to dig deeper (with a coin attached to the bottle so a detector will beep, then a little ways down a box with a bottle of coins and a paper dollar, a bunch of not quite junk but not good enough to keep now and a not with tape covering both halves to try and waterproof it a bit :)

ummm, where exactly did you bury them?

The guy that buries caches is TreasureWriter. He has a number of them out there. I saw where he buried 14lbs of jewelry, gold, silver and gemstones. Imagine what that's worth today! I think he includes info about them in some of his books. He was in the ghost town group but now it's gone. He never promoted his caches here. It was something you had to find out about on your own. I have one of his books. :icon_thumright:
