Got permission to look in the attic of an 1850s structure downtown today with hopes of finding a bottle or two. Ended up that the only glass was a light bulb, but soon as I climbed up there, I spotted what looked like a piece of spark plug wire and boot at first, but instead, something that sure made up for not finding any bottles. I'll probably leave it just like it is, sooty and dirty. Nothing rare but with the chewed reed stem, it's not something you see every day.
