Well got out on the lake again this week and did pretty good :icon_thumleft:
I said i had to do some different kind of hunting instead of my usual Colonial cellars but for some
reason the colonial sites find me :laughing7:

This time i went to the other side and noticed it was more flat with no rocks at all..
I got a good signal that ended up being a RI railroad company 2 piece button and when i flipped the plug over i thought it was a large piece of lead as im running over it with my detector no tone :icon_scratch:
Reached down and pulled out a colonial pipe :headbang:
Then the button ;D
A few more steps out and i grabbed a 1776 reale :headbang:
Then button after button i realized that before this was flooded it was a colonial farm :hello2:
Grabbed a KG and lots of pewter buttons..

On the walk back i grabbed the merc dime and half dollar, sterling ring along with lots of lures again..
Also i pulled a early lead sinker..1800's i think..

Have fun out there

Blaze

I had a great time out there and have only scratched the surface

Man, you have to take time and make time to run over that pond. Never been touched is true. Love those lures. You may want to try and ID a few of them, there may be a few worth some serious coin to the right collector (although I'd probably let them go the day they toss the last clod of earth on me). You have one beaut of a site. Keep us in mind for the next set of pics.

Not a P-39 as it has exhaust pipes in the nose. P-40, or just a "near nuff" representation. It is a toy, after all.

GREAT spot, by the way. Pound it hard. :icon_thumleft:

I always love digging dry lake beds...about 6 years ago the lakes in the area I live were drained down and that combined with drought produced a lot of new shoreline like that in your photo above. I like the date on that One Reale too, very good stuff!

Blaze iit looks to me like your taking full advantage of your low lake opportunity. What a killer assortment of history. Can't believe that button plug produced that pipe, have you identified the pipe material? The bird band is a cool find as well, unfortunately if it's a federal bird band they stopped printing a certificate this past year. the certificate would have the bird's info and your name (the collector), and the location where you collected the band. You can still phone in the numbers and they will email the birds info to you. You get the info back faster, but you don't get a certificate. Cheap Fish and game!
