Bad day of digging turned into a unique experience.

I went to the park today just to break up the monotony of work I was only supposed to be gone for an hour or two. So after my three hours were up I went to the little creek and decided to check out this one area of gravel bed well it turned into me doing another hour of obsessing over small glass balls. You would swear when I saw one I was snatching up gold. Lol I’m in the creek on my knees using my shovel to move gravel 6 inches deep from side to side just trying to get a glimpse of some color. I found plenty of shards as well. Brightened up my day I must admit. A poor man’s J hook

Every time I go I'm always looking for those "obvious" good finds. Silver, gold, jewelry, coins etc. But I am *ALWAYS* looking for what I call "exit finds". Those lil bits of wonderful happiness that's different and always brings a smile. Buttons, marbles, bottles, arrowheads...( which, to date, I've only found *one*!!!)

Seriously, when I find marbles I stop and reflect on the poor guy who lost his marbles. What was he like? What caused him to lose his marbles? Did he ever regain his sanity?

I love to find them to , one of my favorites was an old Ceramic type with a small chip that I found while digging a metal target , It has a small chip out of it. 'Still Cool tho '.

You can make one out of wood and mesh wire with 1/8th inch openings or about any size mesh you want. Some folks use wood, others use plastic buckets to anchor the wire for use or you can purchase a Gold Classifier of your choice on eBay or other online vendors/websites. Heck, some of the members here or supporting vendors found in the Classifieds forums, sell them as well.
