Well yesterday I am recreating with my wife's family on the Lake and I get a call from Baldingboy. "Hey I am going to go out tonight from 6 to 9, want to go and detect with me?" So I ask the spouse and she says, "I don't care." Being a man, I took this to me she really didn't care. BIG mistake, HUGE! But I digress.
Get home and change and head over to Baldingboy's house. He tells me to be there at 6 PM so I pull up at 5:55 and he is nowhere to be found. Big surprise. Probably out getting a pedicure to go with his French manicure.
He pulls up a few minutes later with his family in the car and gets out and the family leaves. He then goes on and on about how he couldn't get his family in gear and they couldn't get some things done on time. He forgot I called him at 4:30 to confirm I was going and he was sound asleep! He changes into his "detecting clothes" and comes out but I told him I wasn't goin huntin with a man in tights and a tu tu!
So he mumbles something and walks down the hall to change into Jeans and a shirt. Five minutes later we are out the door. He looks at me and says, "I'm gonna skunk you tonight buddy."
We drove over to a local Elem school and got out and started swinging. I have a muscle strain in my right arm and I just couldn't swing the Beast tonight so I fell back on Ponce (Deleon). We get out of the car and start swinging and BB turns to me and says, "Hey I found a bracelet." It was a dainty little thing with blue stones. What he doesn't realize is that I know it was the one he was wearing when we started the hunt.
Anyway after trying to dig in CONCRETE DIRT, we moved to the tot lot. Found a few coins and Baldingboy did find a little ring. With 45 minutes left to hunt I asked BB is we could try somewhere else because I don't consider the little part of a guitar pin, two snaps a little heart and two dimes and a penny an hours worth of finds.
So he reluctantly agrees to go somewhere else. We start driving across town to another school when BB gets the idea that the Sidewalk can be used for driving and that since he has a 4 wheel drive he can run over concrete benches too.
We barely survived his driving and we start to detect.
Found the little Church of Christ Pin and then my best find of the night, an O-C- Sport zipper pull!
Well time to go arrives and BB starts crying and jumping up and down yelling "It's not fair it's not fair" I explain to him that we both told our wives we would be home by 9 or a little after and it is already 9:15. BB sits down in the middle of the field and refuses to move. I tell him if he will get up and get going I will buy him an icecream and away we went.
After knocking over a few more concrete benches and a flag pole he gets the truck back onto the road and away we go to his house.
So I didn't find much but we did have fun!!

You leave, get to BB's house and his wife was dragging her feet on getting home, knowing that she would be left behind to tend the kids for the rest of the night. First stop is a no-go, so after a few minutes of exercise, you crawl back into the truck. Then you two are gawking at all the possible places to hunt and BB runs off the road several times...good thing for that 4WD!
Next site has a couple of keepers but the time is quickly slipping away. Back into the truck and home at 9:01, where you get the stink eye for the rest of the night.

Funny story guys!!!!!!
