3) Why did an “unknown traveler” with a big time name in Virginia, like Beale, need to vet Robert Morriss for months and stay in his hotel for months if he lived in the area?
My research takes the story at face value and then tests whether any part of it can be disproven.Your historical research is looking at possible TJB’s that were in Virginia and could the letter as written be true. Is that right?
