I met up with J.B (James Bibb) in Virgina yesterday , at yet another beautiful plantation home. The weather was awesome, and the plantation was a site to see. With a full working crew still, they could be seen scurrying about throughout the day, doing their chores, much similar to what it must have been like in the 1700's . We dug several 1800's buttons and coins, James dug another Copper and a nice Barber quarter.
Thanks again James, I had a great time!

Love those crude early cabins. I guess those were the slave quarters? Nice finds too. There ought to be some cut Spanish silver lurking there somewhere.

That's a great lookin' piece of colonial property. Looks like you guys had a great day. Hope your success continues with the next hunt at that site.
 

Nice finds and pretty pictures. That Star button looks familiar as I dug one very similar to it last spring. The property is a beautiful place to dig :icon_thumleft: :wink:
 

I have been hunting this site regularly for 2+ years
Here are some interesting totals That I counted out last night from my records.
3 Military Buttons
1000000 Flat and decorative buttons(seriously I cant even begin to count the buttons)
69 Indian Head Pennys from 1861-1907
3 Early Coppers
1-1857 Flying Eagle Cent
11 Mercury Dimes
7 Barber DImes
2 SLQ
1 Barber Quarter
4 Washington Quarters
6 RIngs-From gold to stainless to early Pewter-ALL Returned to owner.
Musket Balls and other period bullets.
1 Cut peice of 8-2 bit cut>
ANd tons of other smalls of interest.
Seriously dont give up on sites guys they can produce for years!
