Yep, that's the name of a nearby park along the Snake River. It's an old timers name not beaver anatomy. He was a trapper, explorer, guide in the old west Rockies. Don't think the park is on any property of his but did find some cool stuff.

Very Cool!!! Congrats!!!

Finds make me think maybe an old homestead site. Have you access to any old maps of the arrea?

We did find some other stuff that makes me think structures were there before it became a park in 1964 but the oldest map I've seen of the area is from 1951 and it doesn't show much but does have notes right around the area on the river for a gauging station and a "first ferry" marker but I did not see the marker currently.

Ok so niffler mentioned ferry and the map says there's a marker about a ferry there so I had to look it up. There is a marker on a rock I just missed it, site of first ferry across the north fork around 1883, so definitely worth checking a bit more thoroughly up there.

I know nothing about the area, so I don't know if this is a possibility or not but the bottom of the ferry crossing is often loaded with bottles and other goodies tossed or lost overboard.
