I found this yesterday in an old yard. It was so deep I almost gave up 3 times.
What do you think it is? How old? There is a small mark on the front that says WHITEHEAD-HOAG NEWARK, NJ.

...or coaster. My Mom had a bunch of metal coasters that looked like this. Could be used as a shallow ash tray.
