Work was slow this week so off I went to hunt a park . This park is from the 1950's and always gives up the goods ! On Wednesday I hunt foe about 2 hours and found a 1924S wheat cent . It was 7 inches and sounded like an Indian penny , +62 VDI . That day I came away with $3.71 in clad . Then this morning , Friday , I hunted the other side today and found three rings ! Two are just kids rings and the 3rd one is a nice big old sterling silver spoon ring ! Weighs 11.4 grams . It was down around 6-7 inches and was a +76 VDI on my Whites M6 . Also found a Canadian dollar coin . Total for today was $ 2.86 .

great finds!!

great spoon ring. seen lots of plated ones, so a solid silver one is a keeper for sure. :icon_thumleft:

Nice finds, you should be called the ring man, congrats.

Thanks ! I have collected early U.S. license plates for over 30 years so that's why I'm the PL8MAN .

Nice silver.

How in the "H-E-double hockey sticks" do you have such luck with rings?!?! Absolutely AMAZING!!

Granted I'm just under 2 months in the hobby, but I generally (weather permitting) get out for at least 2-3 hours a day at a minimum. I hunt very active parks, reservoirs, rec areas, schools, etc. To date, I've found only ONE crumby ring. A costume jobber (and not a good quality one, at that!) **SIGH**

Hey,....congrats for you!! HH and keep findin' them goodies!!

You need to write a guide!!! Seriously you need to share your secrets with the world before its too late. Please don't take them to you're grave. :notworthy:

You have been on a Silver roll lately:headbang: Next roll will be Gold:hello2: Looking forward to hunting in the hood with you again:thumbsup:

Great score on the silver Glen

that type of spoon ring was big in the 1970's
my mother had one similar in design to yours - all my aunt and cousins
ended up buying them too
now almost no one wears them

A 1924S penny. How cool is that? And a beautful, awesome spoon ring. Think about how long those things have been in there!!!
