Blast from the past "hippie days"

No coins today I did find this ring that I am assuming is from the 60's or 70's because of the depth it was found. Also I found this old make up container made of copper. I accidently put a hole thru the side of it and there is still red rouge in it. My wife thinks it's really old, but I have no idea.

the ring is from the late 20s when they first outlawed the weed. Sheesh, all that money wasted so we could have rope from DuPont. What a cryin shame.

Very "groovy" ring find, Lostlake!!

I did some research on your cosmetic case. Looks like it is a vintage French cosmetic case from the 1920's. The name on the front is the name of the company, "Djer Kiss".

Too bad we didn't score anything good today. For those reading this thread, I saw the ring today, and found it to be awesome. It is very big and nicely contrasting colors. The design takes me back to days gone by. There must be something about hemp in this town, b/c Lostlake and I have both found pot pipes and now this. I should start a thread on this topic.

Thanks for the replies. I wasn't sure that it was silver untill my hunting buddy Pointdlr noticed an "s" inscribed on the inside band. The previous owner was a big man and wore it alot because the rest of the word sterling is worn off.
