A local marina moved these boats to a lot along the C&D canal. I guess the previous owners got tired of putting money into them and just discarded them.

A local marina moved these boats to a lot along the C&D canal. I guess the previous owners got tired of putting money into them and just discarded them.

A friend once described a big boat like that as a hole in the water into which you continually shovel money.Still sad though to see them shoved aside like that.

Most these boats where last registered in the early 2000's. So they haven't seen water in almost 20 years.

I got that,no real beef on my part as to their being junked.I just like boats and hate to see them abandoned like that.Totally understand why though. Thanks.

hard to salvage an old fiberglass boat. I see so many sitting out in the weather going nowhere.

Lots of those here in Florida. One place had homeless people living in the big cabin boats. They made ladders & were living large!

We have a bunch like these in the boatyard I work in. Typically we run the excavator up the yard and crush them and put them in a big dumpster. It's a never ending cycle with abandoned boats taking up storage space someone else will pay for. And yeah, we have the local crackheads trying to live in them too.
