...but what is it?

I've said it before, I hate posting without knowing what I am posting but I am sure this will be identified quickly. I got back out to the site I found the old buckles and Royal Fusiliers button for one more hunt of 2011. The top couple inches of the ground was actually frozen so I may have got there just in time...good thing I have a sturdy shovel ;D! Was just finding junk (Colonial junk) and was ready to start heading back to the car when I got a nice even tone showing the target about 3 inches down. Popped the frozen plug and found this coin. I haven't a clue what it is and not even sure of the date (1780?).

I do know that it's old and I didn't have one until today! ;D

It looks like this coin was only minted for 3 years, 1791-1793 so that would make mine a 1792.

Yep, that's what the Krause says too. Some outside dates pop up for certain mints other than what's listed, but in this case there's nothing earlier for any than 1791, so 1792 must be right. I know from seeing a lot of these 1792 is pretty common.
