Brachiopod?

Found in a creek bed in Kansas. I know nothing about fossils. First one I ever found.

Someone told me they are brachiopods.

Can anyone confirm or deny? Time period?

Any other information much appreciated. Trying to learn.

Im far from an expert, but I think it Is a brachiopod. Neat find!
