What's new

Brand new to MD with a question

Finally made it back out to the spot and got serious. 12 deep and pulled out a 10inch Wapak cast iron skillet. Still getting a lot of readings in the area so will be going back tomorrow. The light was fading and I had a mile hike to get back to the car otherwise I would have been there all day!!

Aeromed73 do me a favor please. Take your pin pointer place a penny on the ground and then lower your pin pointer over the penny and see the distance to when you first get a signal. (measure it with a wood ruler if possible. Then do the same with a quarter, Then Half dollar then That frying pan. By doing this you will see the larger the metal target the farther away it will notice it. Detectors work somewhat on the same lines. Most measure depths based on coin size targets. The larger the target the deeper it may be. DO NOT be afraid to AIR TEST AT HOME !!!
