I believe its earlier they camped here on way to yorktown va revolutionary war being chased by Washington. Prior to 1781 I believe. The one coin is Georgivs very bad shape but I believe date is 1774.

still trying to figure out what the lead piece is. I have never seen anything like it, I have found numerous civil war mini balls. What type weapon could fire this? Did they fire stuff like this out of canons?
Help identify!!!!

The lead piece could be residue from making musket balls. Lead was hard to come by and reused if possible. I would definitely re hunt that area .

Quite sure your button is French. Dauphin Regiment 1776-1786.

Considering the finds it would probably be from musket balls.

I did see the French style boarder but I knew some British units had these, so assumed the 30th made sense. Is it in your book?

Yep, sure is, and I don't think early British 30th buttons have that design. The back of the button will confirm it if there's enough of the turret shank remaining. Regardless, I'm still quite convinced it's French.

PS: Being French is actually good news, because it makes it a Rev War button. It's definitely not Rev War period British, so even if it wasn't French it would date later 1790s/1812. The time frame of the French button also fits the Rev War period and even though the Dauphin Regiment has no record of service in North America buttons do turn up, and is the case for the one listed in the book. So in this particular case it being French makes it a better, more historical find.

That was my first thought.

The problem is I have no good Military Button Books, here are the 2 I have found without 'French Style' Boarder:

The silvered one is really nice, and is listed as an officer button of 1800.

The other I doubt is British, maybe Spanish, or something else.

I'll admit I barely know sh** about putty when it comes to buttons, but you can be sure when you have CRUSADER, + IP talking about your buttons you can be sure it is a good one.

I think you'll find that Mini balls are associated with the Civil War, not Revolutionary War.
