Brooch, Buttons & Stuff

Lovely weather in New Hampshire
Got out again for a dig,
Found another crown cap, some buttons, a Brooch, reads as silver, but looks really 'soapy' after polishing.
small brass buckle, suspender clip 'Imperial', brass thimble,
crosshatched perforated lead disc, 2nd I've found, anyone know about these?
My favorites are the pewter flatware fragment, like puzzle pieces, I have a lot of them and try to match them up.
and what appears to be a pestle, wood handle pinned to lead alloy head :icon_scratch:
Mystery items: the rectangular brass pieces, there were dozens of these in one area,
I gave up after retrieving 5, anyone seen these items??
Good day & great digs to all!

That is a great days worth of finds. I do like the little the soapy silver broach. The flat lead round piece with cross hatch and holes could be a buzzer. I just dug two and thought replacement button. When I posted on What Is It, Bramblefind came up with pics of revolutionary buzzers. Flattened out musket lead with holes for string. Arty

I think your brass pieces are keepers, they were used on belts so pouches would not slip around out of place that way you knew exactly where the contents were at a moments notice. I als think you have the buckles for it in that bunch too. the knob looking thingy reminds me of walking a cane top.

nice finds and thank you for sharing.

I know what you mean about "puzzle pieces" I used to save broken arrow head pieces, and every once in awhile......

Thanks Tim,
I'll tell you, there were dozens of those rectangular things there,
I got tired of pulling one after another & moved on, I know where they are
