Buckles/Bullet mold/Long bullet

After all the work of getting to my old colonial site yesterday ,and such dissapointment,i thought i would just ride and look closer in town.I found a lot that they just removed a old shotgun house.Built around 1840s..I knew i had to search it. I was the first one to hit it.No holes from others yet.I found some nice relics, and some of the things im not sure what they are, help if you can. And the bullet The longest one i have ever found..Thanks,relic

Re: Buckles/Bullet mold/Long bullet

the bullet looks like one i found its possibly single-shot Springfield Model 1873 carbines, caliber .45-70

# .45 : nominal caliber, in decimal inches i.e. 0.45 inches (11.4 mm)
# 70 : weight of propellant (black powder) charge, in grains i.e. 70 grains (4.5 g)
# 405 : weight of lead bullet, in grains i.e. 405 grains (26.2 g)

Re: Buckles/Bullet mold/Long bullet

I agree with Plehbah on the buckle keeper at bottom. Suspender clip to the left, plus a piece in the center. Nice bullet mold!

Oh, and I think that's a bugle mouthpiece on the upper right...

Re: Buckles/Bullet mold/Long bullet

Yep, great hunt!
The buckle is awesome.

That bullet appears 45 caliber. It looks to me to be for 45-90/110/120 and 405 grains.

The brass funnel looking thing on the right side of your picture is quite awesome as well!

Great relics!

Most certainly a bugle mouthpiece. Absolutely. 100% Certain.
