History is being written everyday as NEW Gold discoveries are being made in Alaska using DIGHEM;

The work continues. I am following a helicopter that was moving along at 120 feet per second and sampling the mineralization in the earth ten times per second with DIGHEM! In one hour of flight, the helicopter samples 3600 x 12 = 43,200 locations to a depth of 400 feet at multiple frequencies. Depth to top, GPS coordinates, magnetic data are all recorded. Every sample is important. Every sample tells a story.

Writing about buried treasure in Alaska;

Treasure hunters come in all sizes and from every walk of life. They have one single purpose! Regardless of the motive, their purpose is to seek out and find buried treasure.

More terrain has been metal detected using DIGHEM than has ever been detected using a common metal detector. Thousands of linear miles of survey lines have been flown in every mining district in Alaska. The job at hand is to do the work of detailed interpretation of the data. Geophysicists have done work at Alaska DGGS using a multitude of computer systems and methods that have missed the target IMHO.

Formal interpretation involves a process of filtering and smoothing as well as leveling of raw data. Computer models are applied to perform interpretation of the raw data.

After having spent over a decade of interpretation and comparison of results, the question remains. What method of interpretation finds the gold? Does, filtering, smoothing and leveling make the end product better? Time will tell if the signal conditioning removes noise or threw out the baby with the bathwater.

To publish or not to publish? That is the question!

Why don't treasure hunters publish where they made their discoveries? In 25 words or less, It's a secret and they don't have to disclose the locations of their discoveries.

I my business of Exploration for gold and other precious metals, I have made many discoveries. I can honestly say, thousands. There are more discoveries than I can remember. I document every discovery in order to go back and review on occasion as I comb through prior discoveries.

Sharing is a form of philanthropy! The value of a discovery is in the hands of the digger. No discovery, no data, no location, no diggers!
