Button and thimble

I searched long and hard for information on this button and thimble. No luck on either, the button I'm thinking is colonial, it has flowers around the edge and one flower in the middle. And the thimble is aluminum and it says zig zag with 2 stars. Anything helps, thanks!

You got it. Button is early, thimble not so much.

Yep, I agree the button is probably late 1700- early 1800's ...
