Hey Diggers, Any help would be amazing. I pulled both from a 1850 school house lot on my land. Can anyone identify the buckle or brooch?

Anyone think I can unbend it safely? I tried with a tooth pick when first found. Love to see if there is any markings on the back.

Very nice finds. You could try to straighten it with a pair of pliers on each side, but go very slowly. I would not try to straighten it completely, as I think it will snap. It is folded pretty good.

I'd say it's some type of suspender clip, based on those teeth.
Most excellent finds!
