If the creek is running , as I gather from the MUD comment , I would get a really good handheld GPS and mark the location in a triangle form Then I would wait till the creek dried or got really low and go at it ,, digging bring a couple of 5 gallon buckets with holes drilled in the bottom , put your silt in there and check it on the shore AND I would NOT mark any trees, rocks or anything else and Not say a word to a soul

Thanks... The creek is a spring type with about 4-6" constant flow, and the cache is mid CW family bury against looters.

Awesome! Keep us posted.

Cool find! Can't wait to see results! Tap,tap, tap! The anticipation is killing me.

don't forget to post a picture and GPS coordinates of the location so we can all help....... :laughing7:

seriously though, good luck!!!

Don't post any pics with an i-phone. There is GPS attached to all pics with this type phone.

another reason not to get an i-phone.

Thanks for posting.

That's a heck of a reason not to buy an IPhone altogether. Maybe use a digital camera or don't take pics of site with iPhone?

U can take pics with iPhones just make sure the location service with photos is off within the settings.

Thank for info. Just found it under privacy settings.

How did they bury it under the flowing creek? However they did, just reverse the process.

...if yea need help with some shovels.....let me know
:laughing7:

Really thou...Keep us posted!!!

Makes no sense to me
To each his own
cant say nice find because you left it

If you found the cache with the metal detector, then you should be able to recover all the coins with the same detector. But after finding the cache, why would you leave it?
