Recently unearthed this cast iron piece and am not sure what it is.
I suspect it may be off some old farm implement.
The one picture is of the item as found.
The other is after soaking in lemon juice for a month.
Can anyone tell me what this is?
Any ideas or opinions are appreciated.

Maybe a clamp or vice?

Some kind of bracket is my guess.

Is there a threaded hole in the tip? Because it looks like it could have been a screw clamp or a rivet setter.

This is a "what is it" forum here that you may want to post this on. They are pretty good at identifying a lot of objects. I had a couple of items that they identified.
It helps if you include a photo with a tape measure or some other object for size reference. Also helps if you describe where you found it.

Good Luck,

Pete

Thanks to everyone for taking a moment to offer your opinions. Thanks for the tip, Pete - I posted on "What Is It...?"

Looks like it might be a spring hanger off a semi. Does it have three holes at the mounting flange?

The clamp portion of a meat grinder? TTC
