Yes i due this aint burnt up cans

Agreed. Appearance is that of campfire cans.

P Nut, do you have any evidence that your item may be precious metal of any kind? If so, I can be persuaded to change my opinion.

Time for more coffee.

I am sure that what you have is aluminum, notice the crack.....silver would not do that. FA8D4AB2-F9F3-448D-A7D2-A62D353E8126.jpeg

Why all the crypticism? Whatever it might be, it's value can only be determined by knowing what it is. If you know, then you can weigh it and look it up on the net just as easily as we can. If you don't know and are asking us to guess, then all we have to go on is that it has a dull silvery metallic appearance.

At least we can be sure it isn't mithril. That would be a lot shinier.

Firstly welcome to Tnet & our wealth of experienced members.

I'm not allowed to say I don't believe you but I am able to answer your questions;
''how much is this bad boy worth then being thats a rare metal''
Very little because aluminium is not that rarer metal.

From seeing lots of this type of metal/digging a fare share of this same looking metal.
Buying this type of metal would bring on a good day 10-25 cents a pound.

Slag/melted aluminum mix/irony/aluminum content.....you pick out one-and the price is the same.
A pop/beer can is worth double than the melted piece shown.
(This metal would be thrown in the bales that went to China for recycling-as the brokers here don't even buy it/or want it)

One simple test... drop in water... floats... fire melted aluminum.

While I agree in part, that is not a definitive test. If it floats, that means a substantial volume of air pockets or other voids formed during melt/freeze cycle. While this occurs frequently, it does not occur nearly all the time.

Waiting on P Nut to share his evidence.

Time for more coffee.
