Peters Cartridge Company

The Peters Cartridge Company was founded in 1887 by brothers Gershom and O.E. Peters and other investors. Gershom was the son-in-law of J.W. King, founder of the King Powder

The Peters Cartridge Company, founded in 1887, was sold to Remington Arms in 1934.

They DO shoot fast in Montana, don't they?

I would say 1918-1930

Agree'd... later than ealier I think.

Here is a pic of several headstamps from Peters and your's appears to be of the newer variety.

I'd say 1950s. I use to buy shells like that at the local hardware store to go hunting after school. The store would split a box and sell them individually to us kids. They called them "high brass" because of the length of the brass obviously. They were a little more powerful than the standard or "low brass" shells.
