Found on outing today...Has initials R.F. and Also this mark. Can anyone please help Identify this mark? Happy Dirt...

Yes, full picture front & back would help a lot. On first glance I thought of a rifle butt plate.
Remington made a 141 caliber rifle for instance & the "141" looks like a gold inlay of some kind.

My guess is '141' is a faux hallmark & it was once gilt (gold plated).
