OK I'll throw my 2 cent WAG into the mix. The backmarks/moldmarks look like a maltese cross inside of a box to me. Does anyone know any button makers or other companies that use that for a logo? I love these whatsits...keep 'em coming.

Those are some great examples IS! Haleys Comet; celestial design with a crescent moon and stars; comet rays.

I think its solved Mike. Its a cool 1800's fashion celestrial design with no connection to SC or the Masons..
