Hello folks it?s been a minute since I?ve been here
I read most days but have not been hunting much
Today I went to a spot close to home
It?s colonial for sure the site war in use as
Early as 1600s
Lots of my funds come from here
Today I had a weak squeak on the Deus
It was at 10-12 inches
In soft clean dirt
1839 capped 1/2.
Needless to say I?m stoked

I would not get tired of getting that one out for a look as often as I could.
 

1839, same year as the Amistad rebellion. Fascinating history in hand.

Considering that they were used mainly as bank reserves and in bank to bank transactions, I don't believe there are many in the ground to be dug. Great find!
