An odd one to suggest.....

Land surveyor.....

You'll need a metal detector to find the missing stakes, and you're meeting people on all kinds of land - easily opening the door to ask permission to search their property.

I am at the age where I'm about to choose a career and would like some suggestions. What would you guys say are some good jobs for someone who has always liked treasure hunting, mysteries, and history?

Save what you like for your hobbies. Your career should be something you do well and can put food on your table.

Funeral Home Owner.
Never gonna be a shortage of ppl die-ing, plus, you'll hear a lot of interesting stories and meet a lot of interesting ppl.

doesnt matter what you choose as long as you love doing it and can make a living.days off can do all the rest.A man who loves his job will never work a day in his life

If you want to be able to reliably provide for yourself and your family in the future, choose a career related to medical or technical fields (engineer, programmer, nurse, xray technician, physical therapist, etc.)

These careers should provide ample leisure time to pursue your hobby.

Just remember, in many fields, what man is doing today technology is doing tomorrow. With this in mind try to select something that's going to have some longevity.
Also try to select something that isn't economic sensitive.

If I were a young person looking at possible careers today I'd probably be looking at something in "senior assistance". The world is simply evolving too swiftly for aging seniors to keep up with all of the changes. I live in a retirement community and I see this every day. What I see in this is the opportunity for someone to go it on their own, get as big as they want, the ability to control their own schedule, and this is, and will be, something that is needed everywhere throughout your lifetime. And I'm not talking senior care, but rather senior assistance.

Scoop is right, and unless they begin Soylent Green, we are aging.....

I'll need someone to empty my drool cup and change my diapers too! Not just the technical assistance.....

I would consider something where you can work outside the the USSA and Europe……….they are both dying under the weight of evil……
That of course means learning a second language

Archeologist, anthropologist, geologist, gemologist.
