What is up Tnet:hello:
Got out for some detecting..I actually found this Cellar by getting lost looking for another cellar..
I dont think it had ever been detected but was just a short lived poor site..The 1838 largie i believe was lost sometime
after the house was vacated..I found a melted pewter spoon handle right on the lip of the cellar.Probably burned down early 1800's..
Ended up pulling 5 coppers and some buttons..More coppers than button what!
Nice 1838 Largie:headbang:
1802 Draped bust
2 KG'S
And probably the most smoked readable copper i ever found is this Mass copper..

Some gilted Carriage piece

Holed Dandy and some other cool relics.
It felt good to get out i have some sites lined up and hopefully i can get out Sunday.

Have fun out there..

~Blaze~

Incredible hunt! I think I'm going to go get myself lost in the woods. :occasion14:

Talk about making lemonade from lemons...getting lost sounds pretty good now.

The /38 is one fine looking copper got to like it when they come out in great shape like that. The one with the two holes what would you say it was, a button (because of the two holes being so close together) or a wizzer?

Great finds JB! Are the ticks out?

Joey not 1 tick on me..But i treat my clothes with Permethrin..It works perfect but you have to follow the directions..You just cant spray and go..

congrats on the copper and relics

that "gear" piece is to an umbrella or parasol

Hey Keddle a while back someone on Findmall made an ID that it was used after you put the drop top up on your Carriage this would lock it in???
I like the umbrella idea..I tell you one thing i only find them on early poor sites..

I use it too JB. I lay my clothes outside the night before and spray them down and let it dry overnight. It supposedly lasts a few washes which is why I always wear the same thing when I go out.
I'm glad to see you posting great finds again. Keep it up!

Great finds, and a GORGEOUS 1838!!

Cheers,

Buck

Man I love those coppers, some real exciting finds! Congratulations!!

An LC is still on my bucket list..congrats on the buttons...is that one a whizzer or a button?

Nice going JB! Love to hunt a cellar hole one day, although I'd imagine you have to put up with a lot of root issues. But that's something I'm used to so bring it on .... lol!

Man , that Coronet is beyond any dug condition you can possibly hope to get . Liberty has eye appeal , in 1839 Liberty type becomes , silly head and booby head , sounds funny but true .

dawg
