Plastic so it won't scratch silver or set off the pinpointer.

Has anyone actually used one of these? On Amazon it has zero reviews, and the only seller has only a 39% positive rating. I like the idea but I suspect it's a 'one and done' tool... wasted money.

Looks like it's just a dibble. A dibble is a tool for planting seeds and only makes a hole to drop the seed into it is not a digging tool as it does not remove any dirt. One simply stomps the hole closed after inserting the seed.

Weapon or digger...depends on the use! :dontknow:

39% positive rating? It is a wonder that Amazon even lets this seller still exist on Amazon.

If your playing with yourself, a plastic spike is fine.

If your extracting targets from the earth, you’ll need a tool appropriate for the job.

Brass knuckles will get you arrested those look worse

How many digs do you think you'd get out of it before it was useless? I think not too many.

Looks like it might help in planting tulip bulbs.
Will a tulip bulb set off your metal detector?

Considering the diameter of it you'd be lucky to get in the ground in anyplace but fresh tilled or potting soil. Even in here in FL that'd be a lot of work in packed soil. I've made plastic and fiberglass probes and they weren't too great either. Abrasion from the soil messes them pretty fast.

I wasn't recommending this for digging. Though I did use digger in the title. Whoops.

My reason for buying it is to try using it AFTER the plug is already out. For poking and scraping into the sidewalls and bottom of the hole.

It may break easily but we'll see. I'll update the thread when I try it.
