It's rained here for 2 days and nights and this am it's still raining,wind blowing and cold.The neighbor's lab just showed up for her hotdogs and Dixie is going wild.The poor lab is 12yrs old now and kinda crippled up.She's been coming down for her hotdogs since she was a pup.And when she was a pup,if I didn't give them to her,she would steal something and take it home and I would have to go get it.She quit that when she was about 2.She never barks,just comes in on the porch and lays down until I notice her.She lets Dixie romp all over her,but when she's had enough she lets her know.

Checkin' in to see how everyone fared. We got light scattered rain Friday and no storms or wind. We had a steady rain all day Saturday and thru most of Sat. night. Some gusty wind, not over 20 mph. and it has cleared off this morning (Sunday). Looks like we just caught the very edge as it went by headed north and east. About the same as last time but less wind. We had all kinds of warnings out about wind and flooding but it didn't develop thank goodness. Dang, you folks on the gulf coast have rally had a time of it. And even our Florida friends had some rough surf and storms. Hope the surf washed out some honey holes for the beach hunters. That's about the only good that can come of this hurricane season. Well, keep your powder dry and let us know if anyone needs some help. No matter where you are, the forum has someone close enough to lend a hand I'll bet. Monty

Everything here in Shreveport is going pretty well this morning. I think there's 10,000 people left without power but its nice outside this morning. We dodged the bullet and I hope others did the same. I think I'm gonna sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the squirrels and birds feed.

BEAUTIFUL HERE TOO! Just got home from church the sun is shinning and there is just a real nice cool breeze blowing threw a hoodie on and when Jeff gets done mowing we are going to go take pics of the flooded river!

ugh! mosquitos are no fun at all!! Bobby called earlier and was on his way in to get some rest....said he didn't catch anything in the fishing tourney yesterday and was up early working this morning. Not sure if he will be online tonight or not. I just got a call from a friend that needs some help with some work at her store so I will get myself ready and go help.
