I was hunting a civil war site during in Virginia and pulled this beauty. It had me stumped then someone Mentioned it was in Eagle drum tensioner from the civil war era. I Found a match online. I am thrilled.

Very unusual and rare find in my opinion, particularly given Creskol's view that it's a banjo tensioner.
