Cleaned out an old ballfield today

I went back to an old ballfield today where I hunted last month. Last time there I got 4 silver and some wheats. Today was not as good.

I managed to squeak out one 1934 merc and 4 wheats, they were 1912, 1915D 1940, and 41. Also dug over $3.00 in clad. I dug every single repeatable target

The first picture is showing you everything I dug today, so for the new guys who think I never dig trash, nothing could be farther from the truth. When I go out I dig a ton of targets. If someone tells you they are never digging trash, they are pulling your leg!!!!!

I am still trying hard for gold, got a lot of pulltabs, several nickels, NO GOLD. I will keep trying.

always do and take trash with me!! well that makes me feel better now!! so you looked at a baseball field i was thinking football!! you find them in the outfield literally or beyond the outfield?

You did good! Silver is always nice! Keep digging those tabs and the gold will eventually come up. I noticed a copper wire in the trash pile, save that stuff. You get good $ for all that scrap brass and copper!

Nice haul, chief! Reminds me of a school I hunted back when I was young and had nothing but time... I did the same thing, hunted in discrimination, but dug everything that repeated... found soooo much silver there, and it was all deeeeep.

I've learned over time that even as technologically advanced as detectors are these days, it all boils down to 2 choices:

dig it, or not.

well I have dug well over a 1000 pulltabs since my last gold ring over 14 months ago!...lol
