Has that Clovis point in your picture White had tip restoration. It looks like it in the second photo. Just curious.....................GTP
 

Yeah, restored with a little bit of hot glue. It's an impact fracture, there is also a nick in the concave base.

I think the same way. When it get passes down to me... the hot glue comes off. When you study the piece you can also see where the surface has been blackened from a fire (probably salvaged from a burned mastadon carcass). You can see fresh parallel flaking where the blackened surface disappears.

This is not meant to take away from the first post. I like discussions of hixton clovis points.
