Maybe a counterfit of Maximiliano :dontknow:

I think the design fits well also considering it's a rather worn coin :D However I'm not a coin/token/medal expert.

Added: The Danish silver is awesome :icon_king:

Thanks IS for staying with this and trying to help me out. (Thanks Much)
But the two are not the same........
1) One is copper & one is silver
2) The heads are simular a (little) The copper one I fill has a cap not his head ,also no beard, and a collar.
3) The reverse of the copper one does not quite match either but I'll say the one you showed is somewhat close. If you look at the tails your pic.shows them pointing up/out mine are down. And something about the coat of arms bust looks a little different. The two figures are holding it different the copper one seem to have them holding with both arms at the top with something running up from the bottom, yours has them with spread arms holding it.
It is close but not a match.
But I truely do thank you for helping out and have seen you solve some tough ones before. So please don't take me wrong and bye all means feel free to state what you think or come up with.As all thoughts are welcome on my post.
Thanks Again IronSpike,
Take Care,
Pete, :hello:

It is indeed a papal medal, commemorating a coronation. Pope on one side and on the other side the pope seated and flanked by two prelates who are crowning him with the mitre. The general idea can be seen here: http://www.mcsearch.info/record.html?id=322403

I don't know which specific pope this is, but considering the other coins you found close by, a date in the 1700's might be reasonable.

I don't have an answer yet but maybe a clue. Is this similar to the back of your mystery coin?

winged cherubs 1707.webp

This is a 1707 medal to commemorate the union of England and Scotland. As you can see it has Queen Anne on the front but she is facing the wrong direction.
:(
Still looking...

Seems to be wearing a cap. Maybe Columbus, Marco Polo, or a pope? The figure to the left of the emblem seems to be just that...a figure. The stance is like someone kicking a soccer ball. Can't guess the right side.
(Not read the whole thread, so if anyone's already said any of this...sorry.)

Thanks Dano,
Yea I think DC matt, was getting close to that one figure as a angel, seems like I see wings on it's back.I thinking this should at least date in the 19th century just being where it was found.River site that's not seen activity for most likely that long anyway.Purdy much out in the middle of nowhere as most of my hunts are.
