Coin in Bezel...gold??? UPDATE!!

Got out to an old park on Friday. managed over 50 clad coins, 1 wheatie and 1 silver rosie. But the find of the day was this coin. So tell me...why would anyone put a memorial penny in what appears to be a GOLD bezel I was a bit disappointed to say the least!!



Checked by a jeweler..definitely gold! I'm having a barber dime inset!

Don't do like I did! I waited over 45 years to get my first detector.......sure wish I had done it much, MUCH earlier!! Welcome to the forum..........
