Well made it out with hunthicks on a new site that reluctantly gave up some goodies...It was a very isolated area that would not have seen much modern activity, lots of walking to get there...
Although there was a 250 +/- foundation there with a well, there were no finds near it, all finds were on the beach which shortened their lives... The finds include the usual musket balls, couple of buttons, along with double bladed axe...neat find of the day was an old trap and of course the trade axe that has seen a lot of use in its day! The coins include well worn Geo II, Canadian LC, old thin worn french coin and Ships Colonies and Commerce token...Thanks for looking..

Just getting out on a new site is worth something!

The trap is kind of cool, don't recall seeing too many of those dug before

Was a good day even if the finds weren't as thick as I thought they would be, although the good targets all seemed to pop up in such a short span I thought we hit the mother lode. Strange that the foundation was so clean, even though I thought you'd hit a pot of coins in the corner haha. I'll post my finds up shortly.

I'd like to find a trap, to be honest I often pass on overload type signals, so my chances are probably not good.
A close up of the french coin ?

Nice group of finds. I like the trade ax and for some reason the trap, too, even though it's not as old. I found part of an old trap the other night (will post it if I get around to it).
