Had a great hunt last night. I know I haven’t been posting much at all for a long time due to work and life things and I do have some other finds on have to eventually put up but I finally got a good hunt in yesterday. I was exploring some woods and stumbled on a strange rocky hump that turned out to be a colonial site in the woods. Must have been a log cabin at one time because the only remnants I could find was window glass among the base of rocks. If it wouldn’t have got dark I bet I would’ve pulled out more finds. In the end I found a little of everything. Bullets, relics, buttons and coins. I’m not sure how well the ten coins I found will clean up but from what I see they are mostly George ii halfpennies, Hibernia halfpennies and tokens. Maybe there is a old silver or better yet gold hiding around there somewhere. The navy anchor button right at the end was a real treat. Thanks for looking and I hope there is some finds left there yet! [emoji16][emoji106]

Words fail me...what a great, great site! You weren't kidding about finding a little bit of everything. The button is fantastic. And ten ( count'm ten) colonial coins is simply ridiculous. Congrats in a big way. If you're able to get those coins cleaned up, I'm betting most of us would love to see the "after" pics.

I’m hoping one super rare find is hiding there somewhere. Silver or gold maybe! [emoji27][emoji16]🤞

You did an amazing job cleaning up that button. The patina on that thing with the gold is incredible

Killer spot man! That button is a beauty and it’s awesome to get a little bit of everything from an early site

Wow ten coppers! You did great there! So funny that it only amounts to a dime if you think about it! That's a large amount of coppers though! That anchor button is a work of art in itself. Nice finds! Thanks for sharing!
